The Queen Victoria Market is a historic landmark located on the peripheral of Melbourne CBD. It is host to an array of arts and crafts stalls, fresh produce and souvenir shops thought the year by day. By night, it transforms itself every Wednesday throughout the summer months to highlight the best of Melbourne Cuisine. General merchandise stalls and live music can also be enjoyed in this open-air night market. Enjoy the flavours and atmosphere of the Night Market every Wednesday evening until March 20 from 5-10pm.

NGV: Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat Exhibit

 

The National Gallery of Victoria’s latest exhibit, Crossing Lines, joins the work of progressive late twentieth century artists Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat respectively. The Exhibit, which is a world exclusive to the NGV, highlights and celebrates the unique subtleties and nuances of their art. Both were important figures in their day, often focusing on the creativity of language and socio-political commentary in new and modern ways. Located a stone’s throw away from Federation Square in Southbank, The NGV is an ideal Melbourne landmark to enjoy inside at your own pace and to escape the summer heat. The Exhibit runs until April 13 2020.

Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup

 

The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup is held every two years, and this year Australia has hosting duties. Throughout the tournament Melbourne will play host to some group matches at Junction Oval in St Kilda, with the highly anticipated Final being played at the MCG which coincides with International Women’s Day on March 8. This is your chance to be amongst 80,000 plus cricket fanatics to see which country will take home the World Cup trophy. Enjoy the teams take the field from February 21 to March 8.
