Located on prestigious Collins Street, experience traditional food and premium beverages in the heart of the city, seated in Alluvial Restaurant located in a traditional 1890’s heritage listed building. The hotel’s façade is a stunning example of 1890s neo-Gothic architecture combined with a luxurious modern interior. Taking its name from the famous bridge that crosses the Grand Canal in Venice, the Rialto is as rich in character as it is in history.
Built in 1891, the hotel began as two separate buildings that housed the famous Melbourne wool stores and its offices. The bluestone cobbled laneways between the Rialto and Winfield buildings, which once echoed with the clatter of horse hoofs as carts carried wool and wheat to the wharves, still remains untouched under our floorboards.

Choose three courses at $125 per person with glass of G.H Mumm Champagne or upgrade to $175 per person with matching premium wines. Children are most welcome and priced at $95 per child with soft drink or juice (6-15 years).
Christmas Day Buffet Lunch
Enjoy a traditional buffet on Christmas afternoon under our soaring glass atrium. Including a seafood buffet of Moreton Bay bugs, blue swimmer crab, Crystal Bay prawns and New Zealand green-lipped mussels. Paired with salads, sides, honey dijon roasted lamb shoulder, wagyu beef carpaccio with horseradish slaw. It doesn’t end there, for dessert, there are plenty of options to choose from such as traditional Christmas pudding, apple crumble and white chocolate cheesecake.

Choose all the above at $290 per person paired with glass of G.H Mumm Champagne or if you’re felling festive opt for the $350 per person with free flowing G.H Mumm Champagne, Beer & Wine. Again, children are most welcome and priced at $150 per child with soft drink or juice (6-15 years).
Christmas Night Buffet Dinner
Spend Christmas night with family and experience our “Family Style” roast turkey dinner including slow roasted rosemary scented turkey breast, char grilled show of lamb with a side of rosemary chat potatoes, vegetables, red wine jus, orange and cranberry jus, apple sauce and minted herb chutney. Also included is the seafood buffet of Moreton Bay bugs, blue swimmer crab, Crystal Bay prawns and New Zealand green-lipped mussels.
