A NEW HIGH TEA MELBOURNE EXPERIENCE IS HERE
High Tea at InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto has a new home, the afternoon indulgence is now held at Alluvial Restaurant on the Flinders Lane Level. Moving to this location means that the offering is enhanced with the addition of a Dessert Buffet, Chocolate Fountain and Lolly Bar which will serve as a sweet greeting as guests enter the restaurant and a welcome indulgence as guests graze from it throughout the afternoon.
Turn Back Time With Melbourne Society Lady Mrs D'Ebro
Mrs D’Ebro was a society lady who was married to Charles D’Ebro, a London-born Melbourne based architect. Son of a Spanish Baron and Chevalier, Charles designed the Winfield Wing of our building.
Mrs D’Ebro was renowned for the lavish afternoon teas she would serve in her house in Toorak.
This high tea is a modern interpretation of the types of flavours you would have tasted in the opulent surrounds of Mrs D’Ebros parlour in the 1890s.
Mrs D’Ebro is one of the People of the Rialto proudly presented by InterContinental Melbourne The Rialto in conjunction with research from the Genealogical Society of Victoria.
