From 11am, Market Lane Bar is a light and bright space, perfect for an informal catch up with friends or a casual business meeting. Enjoy locally roasted coffee or afternoon appertife from the bar menu or the hotel’s modern interpretation of traditional afternoon tea.

Market Lane Bar also offers a unique evening experience as cocktails, champagne and Melbourne’s largest whiskey collection replaces afternoon tea in one of the city’s most vibrant and chic Collins Street bars.

The perfect place to relax, Market Lane Bar overlooks the stunning light filled glass atrium of the hotel and is the perfect location to meet with friends day or night. 

Afternoon Tea at Market Lane Bar

A modern twist on a traditional favourite, Market Lane Bar offers guests and visitors a stunning afternoon tea experience from Monday to Sunday 2.00 to 4.30pm.

Three tiers of delicate sweet and savoury treats are served along with Ronnefeldt 'Teastar' collection teas, or for the ultimate indulgence, champagne afternoon tea is served with a glass of G.H. Mumm champagne.

Honey from the hotel's rooftop beehives is also incorporated into this innovative menu, which features items such as honey glazed ham sandwiches, honey scones and lavender and honey macarons.

Of an evening, Market Lane Bar becomes a setting of style and sophistication as Melbourne’s social set exchange business attire for evening wear. A selection of top-shelf champagnes and cocktails complement the most comprehensive whisky collections of any Melbourne hotel.

Sink into the intimate, polished interior, with diffused lighting setting a mood of luxury and sophistication, while the bar’s seamless service keeps glasses refilled. A selection of tapas dishes and cheese plates are also on offer as a great accompaniment to the bar’s range of beverages and are the perfect accompaniment to a night of jazz performed by renowned resident jazz musician James Morrison.
